Artifax specializes in one of a kind stoneware pieces that are wheel-thrown then hand-carved. My pieces are utilitarian and can be placed in the oven or microwave without damaging them. Each piece takes many hours of carving using the ancient technique of sgraffito. Inlays of colored underglaze are also used to enhance the surfaces.
