Photography is my passion and it really is no surprise. My father worked in the film/slide and later the scanner divisions of the industry and I was surrounded by this for much of my life. I was blessed enough to always have cameras around and picked up my Dad's 'happy clicking' habit.

I kept snapping away and became really involved in scrapbooking, which I did for many years. Recording the memories of my family, our children, trips and everyday moments that make up our lives.

A few years ago, something changed in me from 'snapping away' to really paying attention to the light and trying to compose meaningful images - images that capture the spirit, the attitude of the people we are. Back to school I went and began my quest for information and education in photography - lucky enough to have some of the best in Photography and Visual Communications mentoring me.

That's when I realized my dream. My potential. My passion. That's when Julie Michelle Photography was born.
