Makatas Heart Foundation Inc is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to improve education for many students in Zwedru, Liberia.

The goal of our project is to construct an elementary school for low-income households.

To improve the amount of time and days students stay in school, provide breakfast and lunch to them.

80% of students are at school for 5 hours or less due to hunger and a lack of consistency among teachers.

We'll reduce the number of students in each class from 40-50 to 25-32, with a headteacher and assistant instructor.

Parents will be involved in their children's education and will be well informed, even if they are unable to read and write.

approximately 75% of teachers are not paid on time due to a shortage of resources and funds, and many teachers must find other ways to support their families. When most teachers fail to show up for work, students are forced to teach themselves.

Because schools do not inform parents and they are not educated enough to understand the system, some of the student's school fees are not refunded back to parents.
