Oregon Institute of Technology

Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) is Oregon’s only polytechnic university, dedicated to providing hands-on, real-world education that prepares students for high-demand careers. With campuses in Klamath Falls and the Portland metropolitan area, as well as a presence throughout the Pacific Northwest, Oregon Tech specializes in engineering, technology, healthcare, business, communication, and applied sciences. Our nearly 50 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, along with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, are designed to equip students with practical skills through internships, externships, and field experiences. With an average student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1, we foster a collaborative learning environment that emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and career readiness.

Founded in 1947 to train and re-educate World War II veterans, Oregon Tech has since grown into a leading institution accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. In 2021, the Oregon Legislature designated Oregon Tech as "Oregon’s Polytechnic University," recognizing our commitment to applied learning and industry-aligned education. Our graduates consistently achieve success, earning a median starting salary of $61,000—one of the highest in the region. Whether students arrive with a clear career goal or discover their passion along the way, Oregon Tech provides the education and experience necessary to make a meaningful impact in their fields and beyond.
