For more than six decades, a commitment to quality pool construction has helped shape backyards across Mississippi. Founded in 1957 by Thomas Gabe Draughn, the company began by excavating pools for other builders before growing into a full pool-building contractor. Today, CPS Pools and Spas is Mississippi’s oldest and largest pool builder, with more than 10,000 pools built across Madison, Ridgeland, Gluckstadt, Canton, Flora, the greater Jackson area, and throughout Mississippi. The company designs, builds, and maintains custom gunite and vinyl-liner pools while continuing a family tradition that spans four generations.

Family remains at the heart of the business, with each generation building on the standards established by those before them. CPS Pools and Spas is a licensed swimming pool contractor with a CPO-certified team, helical pier installation certification, and membership in the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance. The company has also been recognized as Best of the Best by Madison Hometown Magazine in 2025 and 2026. With the Gluckstadt showroom and design center opened in January 2024, CPS continues to provide a dedicated space where customers can design their pools from the ground up while carrying forward a legacy of craftsmanship across Mississippi and Louisiana.
