Gary Sieber created Lucid Media with the goal of bringing his extensive skills in media and teaching to a broader audience.Sieber is a professor of Film, Television, and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame, where he has taught Broadcast Journalism (Writing, Ethics, & Law) since 1990.Sieber also monitors FCC compliance, First Amendment legal matters, and legislative issues for a number of radio and TV stations in northern Indiana.Sieber still works in an on-air capacity, with more
than thirty years of professional experience in
broadcast journalism as a reporter, anchor,
and news manager. . .Sieber's work as a writer and managing editor of nationally televised documentaries and informational videos has won a Gabriel and a Telly, in addition to numerous awards from prestigious organizations like the New York Festivals, the Houston International Film Festival, the Broadcast Education Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Columbus International Film and Video Festival, and the Associated Press Broadcasters Association.Despite his love for the classroom, Sieber's work is far from purely academic. He practices what he preaches to clients and students. Sieber has been co-anchor of a WNDU-TV newscast that has dominated the ratings for years.Lucid Media, following the interests of its founder, provides services that are diverse and scarce these days: strong writing, creative production, effective teaching & training, and knowledgable consulting.
