Build, Break, Defend, Create, and Explore at Tech Quest Summer Camp

Published: April 22, 2026

College of Western Idaho (CWI) is giving middle and high school students the chance to explore technology this summer through Tech Quest Summer Camp, a hands-on experience designed to help students build, experiment, solve problems, and work directly with technology in a supportive environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.

Open to students in grades 6-12, the five-day camp is designed for all experience levels. Students do not need previous experience to participate. Instead, Tech Quest Summer Camp focuses on exploration and learning by doing, helping students discover new interests while gaining confidence with technology.

Throughout the week, students will take part in interactive activities connected to technology, engineering, cybersecurity, coding, and digital innovation. Participants also will learn more about CWI and the education and career pathways available in technology fields.

Activities include breaking out of a cyber escape room in partnership with Boise State University, testing their skills at the Lock Pick Cafe, building their first artificial intelligence model, coding games and apps, constructing a working network, and more. Each activity is designed to help students explore technology, build confidence, and discover new interests through hands-on learning.
