Step back in time for an exciting afternoon of 1864-style vintage base ball as the Portland Blue Sox host a triple-header!
🕓 4:00 PM – Portland Blue Sox vs. Lansing Capitols
Experience baseball the way it was played more than 160 years ago!
🏏 Played by 1864 rules, this is truly a gentlemen's game:
• No gloves
• No bunting
• No sliding
• No stealing
• A ball caught on the first bounce is an out
• Just a bat, a ball, and plenty of sportsmanship
As they said in 1864:
"If you can't do it in church, you can't do it on the field."
for the players, that means:
