LETTERS TO THE EDITOR:
Letters to the Editor are not necessarily the opinion of the editor and/or staff.

Moving On
Eric Scholberg, a longtime resident of Sierraville and Loyalton, is moving with his wife, Donna, and daughter, Tracy Morrison to their new home in Hooks in Texas. Eric and Donna cite a desire to “slow things down a bit and find some warmer weather” as their primary reason for uprooting from their home in Cold Springs, Nevada. Donna has family in Eastern Texas.
Eric was raised in Sierraville by parents Carl and Marin Scholberg, with brother Kirt, and sister Kristine. He enjoys telling stories of being towed around the snow-covered roads in Sierraville on an upside down car hood behind Polistrini's jeep and spending hours ice skating on Strang's pond. Later, cars and motorcycles took priority for Eric.
Eric was a member of the Loyalton High School class of 1967. He established his first home in Loyalton with wife Jerilyn where they raised two sons, Jeff and Blayne. He worked at the Loyalton mill and on the mill's road crew in those years. As the boys left for college and started their own careers, Eric shifted to being a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He suffered an injury in a truck loading accident in 2011 which set the stage for retirement.
Eric said: “I'll be back when we have another class reunion.”
Until then, I'll miss my friend.

As the mega wealthy class are directing Trump enthusiasts with absolute nonsense such as CRT, woke, trans, banning books, (who would ban books?) and religion. The real part of the second amendment is ignored. “A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State”. The second amendment was written to keep slaves on the farm, yup it's true. So, we continue to shoot each other. (Liberals seem to dislike that strange behavior). Do we have any regard for the freedom and liberty of those students who will spend eternity in their grave and those student's parents who have had the joy of freedom and liberty removed by the death of their children? I just don't understand.

Dear Editor:
It's no wonder I feel such a need to "respond" to those Gentlemen (LOL) from Outer Loyalton.
I was going through the old Sierra Boosters I've kept because of important Sierra Valley events. Looking through the February 23rd 2017 issue "Winter of 2017", I notice that Mr. Dottta was whining even then (Three full columns), about someone should be building a dam on Smithneck Canyon. "The buck stops with the Governor!!!" He says. President Trump would do it he says (but he never did). These days it's "The buck stops with Biden". I wonder if the buck ever stopped with Trump...
In a separate letter to the Editor in The Same Issue, he complains that the Board of Supervisors "Misuse our tax money" (by asking for a raise). I guess Mr Wellbourn must have been haranguing someone else, cause he missed appearing in this issue.
Has there EVER been a "positive" letter To The Editor from these Boyz? It's doubtful, from what I've read in the past 19 years. They always have to have a "whipping boy" to blame everything/anything on. Since January 2021 it's been President Joe Biden and the Socialist Commie Bastards. Most lately it's been me, Rosey of Calpine, the Naked Communist - LOL!
They just don't seem happy to be alive in this world. I truly wonder what happened to cause them to sour on our beautiful world. It must have been traumatic, sniff sniff
Russell Rosewood, Calpine
