Subject: Donations to Animal Shelters

Hi folks,

July 4th is just around the corner, and for the last few years, the 4th of July fireworks have gotten way out of control. They go off until the wee hours of the morning, and this includes illegal fireworks. In the last few years, it sounded like a war zone where I live.

July 4th is my least favorite holiday.

My email to you is to ask you to join me in what I've made a tradition for the past few years. I mail checks to two of my local animal shelters.
After July 4, there will be lost, injured, and frightened animals filling the shelters rapidly.

Any amount will help these shelters in a big way. If you send a donation, keep in mind that it is helping a helpless animal. Even the smallest amount can and will be used.

If fireworks are not allowed in your county or state, consider sending a donation to your local animal shelter anyway (just because). It will be appreciated and used.

Thank you, and I wish you a safe 4th of July.
