Chameleon

Letter to the Editor:
Chameleon or simply embellishing his criminal career accomplishment, I refer to Jason LaChance, having noted some changes in his campaign. In all outward appearance it looks like he is parroting his opponent, “Read between the lines, there you will find the truth,” New York Times, August 1862. I voted for our current Sheriff twice, doing his duty, he up-righted the mess left by his predecessor and that should be noted, HOWEVER, we have a political puzzle to solve in his choice Jason LaChance, the pieces don't fit. A few years back we had a Democrat Judge, Yvette Durant, who bailed on us halfway through her tenure. Durant was a political appointee by Jerry Brown (Moon Beam) to the superior court in here in Sierra County before being appointed by Newsom to the superior court in Truckee leaving a vacancy here. It is safe to say on the part of two Democrat Governors, it was POLITICS all the way and that action had a severe impact on our court system, possibly slowing down the judicial process. Putting this puzzle together, especially if one is politically motivated, and NOT going out on a limb either, Sheriff Fisher's endorsement of LaChance, my thoughts, there must be something a foot between Sheriff Fisher and our current Superior Court Judge, the Honorable Charles Ervin. Sheriff Fisher is endorsing someone from an extremely liberal, left-wing county, and that should raise a lot of questions among voters, conservative and Republicans. Don't think for one minute that I don't respect Sheriff Fisher, but I question his choice and I seriously believe there is motive. To me I think it's obvious and it should be to you, Sheriff Fisher wishes to change the political landscape of our judicial system and he appears to be highly motivated in doing so as our Sheriff. Don't be miss-led folks, this is POLITICS all the way.
